As mentioned above, I have worked successfully with gun dogs for all of my adult life, and it became the norm to help others with their dogs early on in my career.  My classes now bring retrievers up to a standard where they can work on shoot days if required, and comfortably move on to more specialised groups to take part in competitions and trials.
